I need help with a Tattoo design and have posted the details in my "blog" on my yahoo 360 profile.

If you think that you would like to help me, I would really appreciate it. You see, my Mom died on January 1st 2007, after a 5 year battle with Cancer. She had faught the good fight. Right up to the end, she believed that she would win but Cancer, is an unrelenting enemy. She would beat it down but then it would come back somewhere else. She would fight again and the Cancer would retreat but not before planting a some hidden explosives. When she thought she thought she was safe, would attack from the rear.

My Mom only had two years with her granddaughters, not enough time. I know my daughter already misses her - I sure do.

If you would like to help me, please go to my 360 profile and read the blog, "Special Entry" from January 3rd.
Thanks.

I understand what you're going through. We went through the same thing with my mother in law. She fought the good fight in 2001 and lost her battle with her cancer in March of 2002. It's very hard especially on the younger children. Our children were only 7 and 9 at the time of her passing and it was very hard for them to understand why their grandma wasn't coming home. I'm not a tattoo artist by any means, but here are a few sites that you can visit to possibly get some ideas that commemorate your mom. You can always combine different tattoos to make one beautiful one! My husband is having a hard time finding the right design for his tattoo for his mom also.
I hope these help and our prayers are with you.

I went and checked it out. It's beautiful. My mother passed away Jan 30th 2006 after a 10 year battle with COPD (lung disease) and I too want a tattoo to commemorate her memory. Her and my father actually (he passed away July 2004). I wish I had more artistic ability to help you out. But an idea for the color would be to look up the meanings and feelings associated with different colors to pick the right color scheme. You want colors that will remind you of your mother and bring a calming feeling or invigorating feeling.

I hope someone out there is artistic enough and helpful enough to help you. I need to find someone myself to draw a picture of a stuffed animal I have since that is what I want tattood. I wish you the best of luck and hope that this next year will be easier on you than it was I. **God bless**

Read your blog...Check portfolios!!!! if the artist cannot draw straight lines GO ELSEWHERE! One option is a portrait. Its personal and a visual reminder of that person. As a background, use something personal to them or to the both of you. I can go on for awhile with ideas, but in the end it is your tattoo. Be picky about what it is, where it goes, and who does it. Most of the garbage I fix and cover boils down to the customer being afraid to say "NO!". Don't be.

My mother pass away when I was 10 yrs old and the minute I became of age I got a tattoo of a ROSE with her name on the back of my neck! It just something that just inspired me to continue to draw and design things! If you truly want a tattoo put it where ever you want to! Butterflies is a symbol of freedom, a new beginning, and true love! Do it!

I suggest you contact local tattoo artists and check out their portfolios. I'm sure there will be someone who can help you find a well suited and beautiful tattoo. I like the ideas you have, but I'm sure friends and family can help you find another image you like. As far as a background goes, I see bursts of light/sun rays...but thats just my brain....

My heart goes out to you and your family about your loss. Good luck.

i'm not a tattoo artist, but i think it would be nice to blend the words with the symbol, maybe see if someone can script the words so that they form the outline of the symbol.

your mom sounds like a wonderful person.

I agree with thirty-on ... it would be nice to maybe make the "OM" symbol out of the words. It is a beautiful thought and tribute. I am very sorry for your loss.
