This re-creation of a 19th-century Laurentian village is a mild diversion from the prevailing activities, at least for a short visit. Among the 20 structures are log cabins and slightly more refined public buildings set along dirt streets that hint at what life was like 100 years ago. Children usually enjoy the park's old-time atmosphere, and they can ride a miniature train on a 20-minute run through the village and the forest. The on-site Bar Chez Ti-Père serves their parents' old-time Québec favorites like "caribou," "tiblanc" (both highly alcoholic), and cider.
