I think that sometimes, guys will talk and not think about what they are saying...While it bothered you (as it would have me) I don't know that he meant it in an offensive way...he may have just been talking out loud. But whoever said that you may want to go somewhere else is right....you will think about that comment the whole time, while he will likely be oblivious to the whole situation unless you bring it up...hope this helps!

Ugh! The guy actually brought up another girl while you were having a discussion about a romantic get-away. He sounds like he doesn't have a clue, or else he's trying to push your buttons. And now if you do go away with him the girl he brought up will occupy both of your thoughts. You may want to become too busy for the trip and let him figure out what went wrong. I definitely would forget about the destination you originally discussed. Good Luck

Girl....!!! Its definetly not nothing. Men can be so shallow. Dont put urself through that humiliation. He obviously has unresolved feelings for her and it sounds to me like he regrets not taking the opportunity. If he cant resolve his past and the decisions his taken then you need to take a good look at your relationship. If the man has issues its his mothers fault, you dont have to deal with it.!!!!

The was unneccesary information. You should have told him too much info. Not really that big of a deal if he's the one taking YOU and not HER. don't blow it up its not worth it. Sometimes even I slip up and tell a current bf about a past one.

Maybe you should stop assuming things. People talk. I'm married and I talk about things I did and places I went with my ex's. It doesn't mean I want them back. Just talking about things from my past and how thing I've done relate to things happening now.

I'd be real pis*ed and wouldn't go. I'm not the biggest fan of men though. And he's probably so naive that he didn't even think it would matter to you. Just like a man, not even thinking of your feelings before opening his mouth.....

sounds like he may have just said something stupid and I can identify with that. he probably was simply referring to the money you save if there are reletives down there.
I would tell him my feelings are hurt re: the ex. Let him explain then let it go and enjoy your life.

You can't do or say anything rational to him cause it may tern out to be a disaster.
If you want to, you could ask him questions about her and what kind of person she was.

Don't bring up the topic with him anymore,, until he does, then when he does bring it up again, say you are not (girl's name) and you thought he would have a better time with her, he will apologize then and be begging for forgiveness!!
