MUSHROOMS....... Very low in calories, yet packed with meaty flavor. Cooking Mushrooms breaks down their fibrous cell walls, making some of their nutrients more available to the body.

Vegetable-Stuffed MUSHROOMS!

Fresh & Dried MUSHROOM Soup!

Pasta with Creamy MUSHROOM Sauce!

Stir-Fried Beef with Broccoli, Snow Peas, Peppers & MUSHROOMS!

Vegetable Fried Rice with Mushrooms!

The best way to cook Mushrooms is to saute slices in olive oil. Add chopped onion and season with soy sauce, parsley, thyme, and/or balsamic vinegar. Use to fill omelets, top meats, or as a side dish.

Good Luck!

hi there; why don't you make a beer batter and dip the mushrooms in them..you can serve them with sour cream if you wish; also you can dip some onions, any kind of fresh veggie..If you choose to do this make sure that you don't wash the mushrooms before because it will make them tough; I only say this cause some people will wash them..All you have to do is just wipe them off with a damp paper towel..If you don't want to use a beer batter you can use a pancake batter(one that calls for water is good) all you do is make the batter to the consistency of a pancake batter and just dip the mushrooms in and deep fry them in a hot oil.Good luck!!

Mushrooms are one of those great items that you can put in just about any dish from pasta to salad to appitizers. I try to keep them on hand all the time. I love eating them right out of the package (after they have been cleaned of course).

Leftover... I'd slice them and sautee in some butter. Put over a nice steak or just eat as they are. Add the sauteed 'shrooms to a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing.

You could make a quiche. Or you could try your hand at the incredible dishes of Boeuf Borguignon or Coq au Vin. Or maybe just sauteing them with a nice steak.

Mushroom turnovers. I make something very similar to this (below), but still looking for my recipe. I use the flakey refrigerated rolls. They're delish.
