I stay in Southern California, and the merely good I keep in thoughts there being any snow right here change into January, 2008. It in no way snows sufficient to do something with it, if it manages to snow in any respect, and maximum years there is none. each once in a lengthy time period, inspite of the indisputable fact that, we are able to have an afternoon the position circumstances are good, and slightly will fall. I keep in thoughts how surprised i change into to face and watch the flakes easily falling. They vanished a 2d when they touched the floor, yet that change into our massive wintry climate snowstorm. very last year, wintry climate change into warm all by, with 90s even in December. This year has been some distance lower than accepted in temperature on accepted, so we'd want to get snow. at present, inspite of the indisputable fact that, we are having some hotter days; Sunday is meant to be 80 5, which does not thrill me. i am going to ascertain "The Nutcracker" that day, and may want to quite not have or not this is so warmth.

Okay, I don't like to go all out, but I have the blues too and no one to talk to. I am 1500 miles away from my family (mom, day, nieces, etc) and haven't seen them for 9 years. My father is handicapped and housebound, no one out there will take care of him without him having to pay with his Social Security, or loan the use of his vehicle. My mother is taking care of her handicapped husband and she can only work part time to support them, they use wood heat and she has to buy it on 5.50 an hour 4 hours a day. I am out here with no job, no car (it died on Christmas day) and my husband is having an affair. My son has no respect for me due to not being able to work with medical problems, and life is just wonderful. I get up each day thankful that I am alive and that I can make a difference soon, as long as we are still breathing we can make a change!

Are you a glutton for punishment? This decision to hear the bad circumstances of others will not make you cheery. You're perpetuating the negative process ! Believe me; I've been there --

Step away from the computer,,, go find some volunteer work -- it's an automatic feel good.

One has to uproot ones prejudice. Instead of destroying our prejudices, more often we tend to whitewash them and make them look like principles.

Every one is a philosopher in some way or the other. Philosophy means a view of life. Every one has a view of life. One has to learn to transform one’s view of life to a better way of living. Or else one will ask wrong questions and reach wrong conclusions, which becomes one’s view of life.

Don’t be like a deaf person asking what music is all about. Instead ask the right question - as how can one heal one’s hearing. So just having a view of life is not wise. Instead be an inner transformer. That is being truly spiritual. Then you are both a philosopher and spiritual. A spiritual person transforms his inner being.

Some specific do-ables in the light of the above:

To live is to be related. Every relationship has three factors, the relator, what he relates to and the connection between the two - the relationship. In other words, life is a series of experiences. There is the experiencer, the experienced and the connection between these two called experiences.

The quality of life is the quality of your relationships, the quality of your experiences. So if you relate harmoniously, life is harmonious. Let your experiences be harmonious in order to make life harmonious. How to keep it harmonious is an art one has to learn.

First tip in wise living is to decide to be happy. You get what you focus on. Focus on being happy rather than wanting to be happy. Be in the “being” domain rather than the “wanting” domain. We are lost in ‘wanting’ and never experience ‘having-ness’.

Let your life be a decision that you would be happy.

Understand that your worst enemy is your decision and your best friend is also your decision. Your worst enemy cannot injure you as much as your thoughts and decisions injure you. So keep yourself guarded inwardly. No one can help you as much as your inner decision. So decide to be happy in the domain of ‘being’ and not wanting.

More often, we suffer from thought attack rather than heart attack.

I'm a new dad and at my in laws who think I'm a crap dad! and not good enough for there daughter.

been here since new year and had to put up with the psychology and sarcasm and put downs! hows that!

In other news its not the depression cure to find people who are worse off than you!

The cure is finding the route of your demon and confronting it with fresh air or change in diet or family or friends.. or just.... give up being depressed!

I try to live by this...when something frustrates you or upsets you, just think that if that's the worst thing that happens to you all day, then you've had a pretty good day. Try watching the discovery health channel and see all the crazy, irreversible diseases that little kids (or adults) suffer from. It's awful.

I won't do that but I would suggest buying a special light to treat SAD. While someone somewhere is obviously worse off than you, you need some help to lift your spirits.
