Join the military. Seriously! Your legal guardian will have to sign papers for you, but if that's your step-family it doesn't seem like they'll mind. You'll get free of them AND have a job that will provide great experience.

What ever route you decide -- GOOD LUCK!

Do you have a close friend that you could stay with until you turn 18? Are you working and if so are you saving your money? When will you graduate from high school? Was there a lawyer involved when your father passed (sorry for your loss), you can always talk to him and see what your options are. Do you have a aunt or uncle that you can turn too until you are legal, therefore do what ever or live wherever you want to.

You said it was your step family, there is no way legally, you would have to stay there.Where is your mom? Do you have someone you can stay with? Legally unless you are 18 you cannot enter into a contract and unless you have someone you can stay with untill your 18 you would be unable to sign a lease on a apt, or anything because the laws protect minors.

It depends on the age your state allows. You need to get a job if you don't have one. Some time Social Services will help.

Take one minute and think....can you pay for yourself 100%?

That includes food, shelter, clothing, medical & dental expenses?

If you can then just move...if they treat you that badly they probably won't notice.
