it depends on the type of perm, if you have a tight perm then it will go short, but if you have a loose curl one, it would look ok as you will hardly notice any change in length

Try to wait a bit longer before going for the perm as it when hair is curly it looks much shorter

i think a shoulder length perm will look good! maybe jst hv the dead ends cut off

Perms are soooooo out of fashion hun! Just get curling irons instead. That way you are not stuck with the curls if you change our mind.

there is not something somewhat better which you may desire to do. I wash mine the different day through fact this is greater healthy for it. any length is fine but your length sounds perfect! just make sure to get a trim when your done cause it may fry your ends! hope it turns out good!!!

personally i think let it get longer.... half way down ur back. it will look a lot better
