Because atheists want to believe the lie that their is no God. But their inner witness (their conscience) screams otherwise. This creates conflict in their minds so they feel the need to argue with believers. If this statement wasn't true than no atheist would bother arguing with believers. There would be absolute silence.

When do they do this? Please provide a link to the question(s) you are talking about, where an athiest is answering a question based on the belief in God, and not simply saying, "Well, this is what it seems people who follow God believe..."

The same reason why Believers answer atheists' questions using verses from the bible.

These Q+As between atheists and believers will always run on parallel lines refuse to come to a middle perspective to share their opinions and knowledge

why do Christians answer questions about Paganism?

why do Muslims answer questions about Buddhism?

This is a public forum.

And, honestly, if god-believers want the rest of us to not answer questions based in god-belief, they should be setting the example by not intruding on questions based on different beliefs.

It's a two-way street, hunny.

Why shouldn't they?

When believers answer questions, their faith usually influence thier answers when the questions sometimes call only for science.

IE Is evolution true? The answer is yes, there's no scientific doubt but some people actually believe some guy decided to put us here and feel obliged to respond according to thier beliefs and not fact.

You need a comma in there it's a very confusing question without one. And I don't speak for all atheists obviously but I answer any question that catches my fancy. Not based on anything other than the fact that I find it amusing in some way.
PS- what's the evidence the "great flood" happened?

Why did all these Christians attempt to answer a question directed at atheists? (This one is my example) They really have no actual idea of how we think and yet they want to answer for us.

I only answer for myself and my belief. If you asked a question that was conducive to an answer, you would get one. That is what I see from most of us.

Because this is a free for all. We answer what we want to. Especially when people put questions out like "why are atheists so closed minded?"

Did you expect only a Theologists to respond to such questions?

The point of asking such is to receive a greater wisdom and to encourage others to believe.

So perhaps such a debate has effected others, much as it has lite a fire for you..

Well, you didn't provide an example. And if you did have an example I would suggest that you ask that person. Atheists think for themselves. I couldn't possibly tell you why one person did something.
