I am sure that some woman somewhere might, but for the most part it is about balance, like everything else in life. Who wants to be domineered all the time? No body that I know of. Relationships are give and take. The opposite is not cool either, who would want to be around a complete push over? I think most women are attracted to men that are confident not cocky and that have a strong personality, but don't try to control other. Domineering over someone gives the relationship a different spin, it is more of an adult/child relationship, in which one person does what the other says, many times out of fear for getting "in trouble". Again the ying/yang come into play, a balanced personality is key.

Submissive people seek out dominant partners. That's the nature of "power exchange" inherent in classic dom & submissive roleplaying. I didn't use the word "woman" because power exchange can have many flavors.

However, "power exchange" often occurs between a submissive woman and a dominant man. In the U.S. such power exchange today is completely consensual, meaning the sub willingly delivers over to her dom the means to direct her, train her and "punish" her for infraction of the rules. In this sense, the submissive can be said to enjoy a submissive role.

This idea can extend to "erotic power exchange," wherein the dom-sub roles are limited to sexual pleasure. In this case there may not be submission in daily life, it's strictly fun times in the bedroom.

Dominate? No. Self assured, confident, decisive, yes. I think most women want a man that has the courage to stand up for his convictions and will do the right thing for her and in general , regardless of what people think.

Yes and no. I know that is a pain-in-the-*** answer, but that's the answer. I am a very strong willed woman, and I love that my hubby takes control of the situation, most of the time. Every now and again, we like to see our dominant man let his guard down and be a little teddy bear (but only with us!!)

Well I surely dont!!! My EX-Husband was so Controlling, Obsessive, and Mean!!! I ended-up becomming a "Prisoner" in my own home!! That's how dominant he was!! It became a very "Unhealthy Relationship!!!" And he beat me, if I had anything to say about it, right in front of my kids, (who were terrified of their father!!) It was really sad too, because I'd known the man half of my life, and we used to have a really healthy Passionate relationship when we were in our 20s!! Then we broke up, went our seperate ways, and I remarried, and had another child in which he ended-up raising her as his own, when she was about 4-9 years old!! She even called him Dad.. She loved him so much, until he got on drugs, and we weren't aware of it, at all !! He just became really mean & controlling, to the point to where he wasn't coming home after work, and my neighbor thought he was on drugs, and I kept telling her, he's not on drugs,, I would know!! I just think he's having an "Affair", you know... Well , everything eventually escalated!! To a very Dangerous Level !!! And I had to get out !! So, I kicked him out, and unfortunately he was very abusive on that last day together!! And my daughter called her grandma who in turn called 911, and he went away!!! And we've been devorce now going on 4 years in April.. And , I'm so screwed-up in the head behind all of his "Head-Games" he played on me, and his Obsessive Ways!! I'm scared to even date anymore!! I think I'm going to wait until my kids are grown.. In which will only be in 4 & 6 years!! To maybe, begin dating again, you know...... Its hard for me, to trust men enough to not be afraid, they wont pull the same thing on me!! I dont know that any woman likes a Dominant Man, except maybe in the bedroom!! And that's a whole nother' issue..(story)...... Smile!!!

Yes, if they're really the submissive type. Some like to be completely dominated into total submission and made to do what ever their man wants.

I think they do. I guess it makes them feel safe. But they won't like the demeaning type.
