I am doing a project on minimising the errors in fuel gauge.. There comes a lot of variation between practical and theoretical values. But in the calculation where theoretical values are obtained magnetic gauss value is not at all included.. Is it possible to include it somehow and minimise the difference between prac and theo values? Or is there any other way to approach this problem?

I'd approach the problem from the other end. Start at the tank. Most fuel gauges use a float. That's where the error comes in. Redesign the sensor for the fuel level. Then approach the gauge end of the problem.
