Hell, as a kid I used to eat at the very least 14 eggs per week. This is more on the low wside as most of the time it was like 3 or 4 eggs per day. (Breakfast) I never got sick from them. BUT hey you never know.

This used to be common advice, but is now generally rejected. Eggs do contain cholesterol, but this has rather less effect on your cholesterol levels than the amount of saturated fat you eat.
Unless you're eating a serious amount of eggs (or cooking them in a lot of fat) I therefore wouldn't worry too much about limiting the number you eat. If you are eating *lots* of eggs, you could try just eating the whites of some of them - this is a good lean protein source.

Absolutely not true althouh you should limit the eggs you eat weekly, I'd recommend no more than 5.
Health concerns primarily about the amount of cholesterol in eggs. The relationship between cholesterol and eggs has since been shown to be much less important than originally reported.

this is not actual, until you're allergic to eggs. through fact egg yolks are severe in cholesterol some years in the past the national heart, Lung, and Blood institute (NHLBI) advised that a heart-healthful weight loss plan could decrease intake to no better than 4 yolks a week alongside with the egg yolks in baked products and processed meals. that's not the sole suggestion with regards to eggs. the yank heart association recognizes that this is a threat to greater healthful an egg an afternoon right into a healthful weight loss plan, yet which you may decrease nutritional cholesterol from different supplies, alongside with baked products. A Michigan State college learn, pronounced in 2000, analyzed the diets and blood-cholesterol information for better than 27,000 human beings—a representative pass-portion of the U.S. inhabitants. It got here upon that cholesterol replaced into decrease in people who ate better than 4 eggs a week than between people who did not consume eggs. additionally, some human beings react in yet differently to the cholesterol in eggs. not each and every person respond further to cholesterol. There are study that have shown that 30 to 40 % of any given inhabitants is produced from "hyperresponders." In those human beings, blood-cholesterol concentrations spike disproportionately consistent with nutritional cholesterol. as though that weren't adequate to confuse the subject, eggs at the instant are not all created equivalent. unfastened-selection, pasture fed chickens produce eggs that have a lot decrease ranges of ldl cholesterol, much less saturated fat, greater diet A, greater omega-3 fatty acids, greater diet E, and a lot greater beta carotene. in case you come across an area farmer or somebody with outdoor chickens that run around interior the easy, consume grass, clean vegetables, bugs, and a balanced weight loss plan of seeds and grains and get to socialise interior a flock, purchase their eggs. you would be doing your self a desire. foodstuff technological awareness remains a particularly new technological awareness and we are nonetheless looking out new issues approximately what we consume and how it effects us. i've got faith that eggs will quickly be rediscovered as a miracle foodstuff and regulations of four eggs a week would be seen stupid. in case you have diabetes, severe coronary heart ailment, severe-ldl cholesterol or different cardiovascular ailment, this is nice to to maintain your egg intake low. yet once you're healthful, and energetic you'll be waiting to consume quite a few eggs a week.

Being a vegetarian, I include more eggs in my diet. But then again, I don't eat the yolks, and I think the yolk is where most of the cholesterol is.
Yeah, and that "health thing" is the egg being high in cholesterol.

Yes the health doctors have been out again, and told us that to many eggs are bad for your bowels. before long tesco will be bringing out a new type of organic egg. made out of cornflower and water and 'low' fat cooking oil, or something stupid like that. Next they will be telling us that apples have to much citric acid in. ooops sorry they've said that too. How long has civilization been eating eggs? far to long for anyone to care. same with apples. and no one has died from an apple unless its been shot out the end of a cannon into someones face. JUST EXERCISE and we all will be fit and healthy.

If you eat a lot of eggs you can become egg bound. Constipated in other words, but you would have to eat 10 a day to have that effect on your body.

This was because of the cholesterol content. Scientists have now determined two types of cholesterol: LDL and HDL. The eggs have the better of the two. Eat as much as you want, but stick to the whites. Trash the yolks because they are mostly fat.

It was thought that eggs were high in cholesterol so it was recommned that no more than 2 were eaten a week. I think science has moved on now and so that is not applicable, the cholesterol is not the bad kind. I think!!
