something easy so she dont burn the house down. they can be ditzy sometimes. maybe hot dogs and microwave mac n cheese. something microwavable. try to stay away from the stove or oven. cuz if she gets side tracted she could leave the stuff on. sanwiches. make something she can preheat. pizza if you have like a pizzaz. giving her money and having her order in can be rather expensive.

Something easy, and that you know the kids will eat!! Pizza is great, but I would do frozen rather than delivery. Depending on the ages of the kids, you could buy the stuff for pizza....shredded cheese, pepperoni, etc., plus one of those boboli crusts, and have them make their own, it would be a fun activity and you'd be sure the babysitter isn't on the phone the whole time.
Or, make something yourself and leave it in the crockpot. Mac 'n cheese with hotdogs, or whatever else is easy (and with little clean up in the kitchen or on the kids).....

Most of the time I feed my kids before we go out if I can. THen all she has to do is feed then snacks like popcorn or fruit cups with pudding my kids love those things and I only buy them when we are not going to be home so they are special. If I can't do that I typically order pizza or go pick up something for them they love popcorn chicken.( I make sure the pizza is here before I leave, that way she is not answering the door to a stranger who knows the parents aren't home, sorry but better safe than sorry.)
If you must leave something I would take your kids shopping with you for things you know they like that is easy like easy mac or micro dinners. My 6 year old know pretty well how to do these himself with supervision, and you know they have somethign they will eat.
I hope it this helps.

some thing easy to prepare, like mac and cheese ,hot dogs, pizza, corn dogs, bite size pizzas etc...
It all depends on what your children like and if the teenager can prepare it. If the babysitter is 14-18 they most likely know how to cook!!

I give them something that is easy. Like frozen pizza, mac and cheese, or make something for them to re-heat. I would never want a pizza delivery guy to come to my house with my kids and a teenager home, you never know what could happen. Not safe.

Mac and cheese is ever so popular! Hot dogs, sandwiches, fruits and veggies, TV dinners, cereal, popcorn...
Lunchables are fun quick and easy. My daughter is 2 and loves them! Get things so they can make their own litte snacks together, like celery peanut butter and raisens = ants on a log.
Leftovers that can be reheated are nice and easy too. You can make soup or chili in big baches and freeze the leftovers so youll always have something on hand.

I was a frequent babysitter and most people did the mac 'n cheese thing or pizza. I hate mac'n cheese and pizza now. I really appreciated the parents who had other options for me. If your sitter is good and you don't want to loose him/her I suggest you ask them what they want or leave out some more grown up options that they can eat.

something quick and easy that your children like. frozen pizzas, soup, sandwich stuff is good ideas and are easy for the babysitter to fix and give the kids. also snack stuff that the kids will like that is also good for them and that won't make them have a suger high.

I don't leave my kid with a teenager, I don't feel they are very trust-worthy and responsible. But if you use one, leave something easy like Mac 'n Cheese or pick up some take-out from a deli and let them make sandwiches.
