i am treating myself with antibiotics at my doctor's advice but it still hurts like hell! give me a sollution to releive me from the toothache!

Last time I had one of those, they prescribed me Co-codamol which
worked a treat. It's not available over the counter though.You may find that ofter a few days, the abscess may 'break through' and once the pressure is relieved, the pain drops significantly. I don't envy you, though, poor you!

Sorry to say this but your doctor will have to prescribe a pain killer...an abscessed tooth is very very painful..i know! And the only remedy I know of, other than, the prescribed pain killers is an ice pack on the face.

Use a topical medication like orajel or ambesol.
Also, take a pain reliever (advil, motrin or aleve).
