Tell your dad exactly what happened. You wont be able to cheat him. If you had a good reason to walk out of school, best for you. If not, assume your responsability. Dont forget your dad loves you, wants the best for you, and also, not so many years ago, he was a youngster too. Take his advise.

I think excuses are bogus. tell the truth. face your consequences. Learn how to do better next time. Or stay in school and learn how to be responsible.

The truth. Always tell the truth. Parents have a way of finding it out eventually so why not just start out with honesty? Besides, if he finds out you lied (which he probably will), the punishment is likely to be more severe.
