The way things are setup not it is had to get any Microsoft product if windows is not genuine. You can change the key that is stored in the OS that Microsoft checks to a valid key, but then you would have to go out and find a key that would work.
In all honesty your best option is dump IE7 (it is not that good anyway) and go with an independent browser such as FireFox or Opera or Netscape.

Hi, I also have had the same problem, due to when I bought my computer from my friends, I did not realize that it had a "Non-Genuine" Windows XP Pro, go to http://www.updatexp.com/ and then type Genuine XP in the search box, I believe this is how I got my computer to go around the validation process

You can't instal IE7 without a genuine copy of XP. Your computer is also at risk because you can't get important Windows Updates. Microsoft can now detect illegal copies of their programs and eventually you will get a warning that your copy is illegal and eventually your program will stop working.
As for your "save the smart as....s remarks"........those of us with genuine copies are really smart whereas you're not.

First of all, Go with firefox, its much betta thn IE.
Second, if u really want IE7, thn go to any warez site and downloaded a cracked version.
Google it if u dont kno of any warez sites.

i dont really know, but try limewire, ddl2.com, morpheuse etc.
but personally i dont like ie7. its crapy. the old one is easier to use and better picture quallity.(in my oppinion)
