I see this drivel posted here all the time.
And I'm genuinely curious. Just what in the hell is this supposed to mean, folks? What corner of your lower intestine does this sort of "logic" come from, and how did it get there?
Seriously... what the hell is this supposed to mean? This makes absolutely no sense, in any language I've ever heard. Enlighten me.

Lion of Judah... how can you cut and paste that much, and do everything EXCEPT answer the question? I would think eventually, by the laws of probability, you may have actually hit on something. But nope... none of it is relevant. Cut and paste something else that is... Hurry! :)

I'm going to just go ahead and assume that someone that expresses themselves like this is incapable of explaining their logic. I think they've sorta confused themselves. Unfortunately, since the widespread advent of the scientific method, the Enlightment, etc, it appears that Christians and atheists almost feel they are at war with each other. With such a sentiment in mind, some Christians (I believe) are attempting the fight-fire-with-fire method i.e. defeating logic with logic. Unfortunately, some people just sort of attempt to parrot other things they hear. I haven't seen such a stunning explanation before, but I've certainly seen *similar* sentiments. They see the prefix "a" to mean "without" and they read perhaps a little bit of philosophy, the type that argues that you cannot know pleasure without pain, you cannot know joy without suffering. They sort of string all these random bits of argument, knowledge of language, etc and come to the conclusion that you have to have a faith in God to have a lack of faith in God. And since, of course, Christians are right (right?) then there must be a God to have a lack of belief in God. See? Makes total sense, right? I need some meds for my headache I'm developing right now.

I suppose it means that we atheists have to believe that Christians believe in a God so in order NOT to believe in a God, we have to acknowledge a false god in order not to believe in one at all.
The Christian logic (all all religions for that matter) has always been confusing and void of what we atheists know as common logic. I don't think they really understand it themselves.

That is the craziest and dumbest thing I have ever heard.
I'm an Atheist, simply because I have not seen enough cold hard facts that a higher power exists. IF, one day, we proved a higher power did in fact exist, I obviously wouldn't be an Atheist.

Its true that we have to believe in the concept of god, but not that the concept is true.
That would be the same as saying I believe in the tooth ferry because I don't believe in it!
Just another poorly thought out insult to our intelligence...and their own.

Atheism should not be a word. I do not tout that I am not a TV Repair man. So why should I say that I am not a god believer?

If you oppose something, you admit that something is actually existent!
When you say there is no God you admit that you at least know the meaning of the word God! (if something has a meaning it exists!)

It's called doublethink, and it's employed by believers regularly and without restraint.
It's described in detail in George Orwell's novel Nineteen Eighty-Four.

I actually do not agree with that statement, waht I say is more like atheists are believers, they just believe there is nothing beyond this life.

Yeah... hmmm. I don't know. I have never used that one.
If that were the case then wouldn't Christians have to "believe" in other religion prophets/Gods.... to not believe?
Nope.

It's because many people really believe that atheists believe in god but they are just mad at him or are afraid of their own "sins" and therefore pretend to not believe.
It is illogical...
