Don't.

Don't take anything on faith - I don't think any atheist - at least not a scientifically literate one, would claim that science had all the answers.

Think for yourself, investigate the truth yourself and then you can have some confidence about the conclusions you come to.

Science doesn't have all the answers, not yet anyway. Of course, for all we know, there may be an infinite number of things to learn, thereby ensuring that knowledge can never be complete.

Yet, science does make interesting discoveries on the daily basis and is responsible for making modern life possible. I would like to think that one day, science may gain the ability to prove the existence of an entity that we'd refer to as God. At the moment, we even lack the mathematical language to run such theoretical equations.

Hence, it may come to be that science will prove without a doubt that there is a God.

"Science" and "atheism" are two separate things. Atheism, by definition, is simply the belief that there is no god, or a disbelief in god. It does not necessarily imply the reliance on science instead. However, many atheists -do- rely on science instead to explain how the universe came about.
In addition, science does not have all the answers. Science allows humankind to learn many things all the time. However, humankind makes many mistakes while learning. This is progress and civilization.

I am an atheist, and I'll tell you that science doesn't have all the answers. Any scientist would too. Science doesn't cover certain domains. It can't tell you how to have a life that is worth while. It can't tell you how to be a good person, how to fall in love, of live a life that matters. It's not meant to.

For some, it's religion, for some it's not.

What you believe is your business, so long as you don't use it to interfere in the lives of other people.

I hold no belief in god or gods. I have no desire to force that on anyone. Why does this offend you?

Atheists know that science doesn't know everything. We have a better grasp of the scientific method, know what scientific theory means, and understand that new scientific knowledge can falsify old scientific knowledge. Science does not have all the answers, it is looking for them. Science needs better answers than "God did it."

Because of the evidence. However, science does not claim to have all the answers. It just has a really good track record of coming up with some really good ones.

There is plenty of evidence showing that gods are man-made, including much evidence that our human nature tends to fabricate gods and other superstitions.

No one is saying that you have to believe the atheists. Just like they're not saying you have to believe them. That is just the way they believe the world works, just like Christians believe in the Bible, Buddhists believe in the teachings of the Buddhas, and the Muslims believe in the prophet Mohammed.

Well, we have evidence supporting our position.

God does not.

Typically, people go with the position that is supported. However, due to the way it has embedded itself in our society... religion has thus far managed to escape scrutiny.

But as for your comment regarding "all the answers"... you DO realize that RELIGION is the only thing claiming to have that, right?
