I'm an atheist and I wouldn't want to be in a foxhole with some namby pamby bible basher. I suspect that exposure to the harsh realities of combat might make anyone with an imagination question the idea of a benevolent God.

Why the hell would I beg a non-existent God for my life?
...wouldn't he be the one that put me in the foxhole in the first place?

I never prayed. I was in 3 different engagements with enemy forces. And I only know of a few guys that did pray and yet they were KIA. Never Forget.

I stopped believing in Christianity over there. I found my own way of spirituality after losing my faith in Christianity... after a few near death experiences.

Amazing how you seek to speak for me. It is your own lack of imagination that you are showing here.
