everytime I close my Limewire it opens by itself. I already scan my computer for spyware and for viruses and it is still happening. I run on windows xp.

Go to Start - Run.Type msconfigThen Ok.Once the System Configuration Utility has opened, select the Startup tab.Find Limewire in the list of programs and untick it's box.Click Apply, then OK.You need to reboot your PC, the first reboot you will get a message stating your configuration has changed just agree to with it and it will not show again.

Whenever u download anything from limewire, it takes those files as shared.. u have to turn this feature off...
because.. limewire runs whenever anyone choses to download from ur shared files..
go to
Tools > Options > Sharing
and remove all the shared folders from the field.
this will definitely work

you have to disable sharing, otherwise anytime someone wants one of your songs, limewire is instructed to go get it.
