I figured this had to be a troll. Then I found it to be a halfway decent satire. Nice. :)
But for the record, not ALL scientists are atheists, but very, Very, VERY few are literal creationists. In fact, practically all my science professors were Christians, and pretty devout ones too, they just didn't feel the fundamentalist need to interpret everything in the Bible literally when it was blatently either symbolic or erroneous.

My grandfather was a geologist, astronmer, and a musician. At one time he made the best telescope mirrors in the world. He was chess champion of several states. He was also a PK; a Preacher's Kid. He believed in God.
I have met medical doctors and all walks of life who were Christian. My pastor was a Stanford University Philosophies of Education graduate professor with a doctorate.
Christianity, if you focus on the scholars, is widespread. There is much more support for the scriptures in science than many expose themselves to because they simply do not attempt to seek them out.
I think that you will find, if you seek it, that many Atheist scientists are particularly unscientific about God in general. They excuse themselves from the discipline of science on this one issue more than any other. I find that Atheism is the most unscientific approach to the things of God that one can support.

As others have said, "heavens" and "sky" are used interchangeably, however I've known astronomy professors who were Christians. After all, the Bible says that "the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom" and that "the fool has said in his heart, 'there is no god'." Only a fool would believe that theres no God after viewing the splendor of the cosmos.

confident, i think of a Christian view of heaven would desire to comprise atheists. The Christian coaching approximately God emphasizes God's want to be reconciled with each and every physique. it may be strange if that choose for reconciliation ended the minute somebody died! there's a verse interior the hot testomony that mentions an unforgivable sin. in spite of the undeniable fact that it would not say what that sin is. So in uncomplicated terms God is conscious what the unforgivable sin is. the superb wager i've got considered is that it is announcing that God's goodness is surely evil. The bible says many stuff that are unfair to women because of the fact it grew to become into written via people who lived approximately 2000 years in the past in a thoroughly distinctive custom from our very own, the place women have been seen to be components. as quickly as we are saying the bible is genuine, it is not the comparable as announcing that we would desire to stay as though as have been historical israelites. The truths interior the bible are approximately God's love for humanity and approximately God's requirement that we like our neighbours. Loving our neighbours ability treating all human beings as totally human - which ability treating women as equivalent to adult men. And it additionally ability being tolerant of alternative religions. desire that helped!

Its a matter of language usage. He used the word "heaven" not because he believes in such a thing, but because most people associate heaven with being upwards. Its a symbol.
Also, in case you don't know and are just being sarcastic, the early astronomers used heaven in the exact same way. Brush up on your history!

Hahahaha, this is a joke right?
Einstein was born to a Jewish family and did not believe in a god.
Edit:
And you really think he was seriously invoking the Christian idea of heaven? Even Christians I would think would not imagine an asteroid as being from heaven.
Oh and yes some scientists are religious, but the more distinguished they become the fewer believers there are.

'Heaven' also means 'the sky'...the Hebrew word for 'Heaven' didn't differentiate between the concept of eternal life and the sky we see,,,kinda like the Hebrew word for 'virgin' also meant 'young girl'.
But, scientists, at one point in time, believed the world was flat. I think there still is a 'flat earth society' and they probably say they have scientists, too. Therfore, I can believe there are probably a few scientists who are Christian.

Given that everyone knows the words "heaven" and "space" are often used interchangeably, I would rate your question a 0.5 on a 1-10 scale of cleverness.

That quote says nothing about his religion. "the heavens" is often synonymous with the sky... In fact, the same notion that he is making to the sky is how stupid religions started. He is saying that material is comming from somewhere he doesn't know, so it is from the "heaven". Religion and ignorance are two items that share the same source of information.

That statement says nothing of his spirituality.
There are 3 heavens. Our atmospere, outer space, and Heaven - eternity.
But I believe that there are Christian scientists.
