Calorie wise there isnt much difference, with wholemeal bread being HIGHER in calories than white bread. The difference is that the brown gives you more fibre and takes longer to digest thus giving you sustained energy rather than a quick fix;

White bread is bad. When I was in the army my First Sergent said all white carbs are bad for you. Wheat bread is better for you. It just takes some time getting use to it. My three year old son eats too.

The white bread is ok but you get so much more fiber and nutrtion in darker breads however you might want to opt for what I did. We switched to Sara Lee Soft and Smooth made with Whole Grain White bread. it is a little healthier than white bread but looks and tastes like white bread.

you are doing great!
maybe a good choice right now would be to switch to whole grain white bread. several companies make it and it tastes white! lol! its what i give my kids for thier lunches and they dont know the difference.
i recently switched to whole grain bread and i LOVE it. ive cut white sugar and white processed flour out of my diet and I feel so much better :)

Yes, it has all this processed refined junk in it, so I'd slowly start replacing some slices of white for wheat until all you're eating is wheat.

Will not, but suggest you try to take less of refined cabohydrate as that is not very good for your diet, try to introduce more vegs and fruits in your diet, but make sure the fruits are healthy, not too high in sugar, take a day off each week to detox, and you will find good benifits.

Honestly if that is your goal I would concentrate on high fiber carbs. I would nothing but wheat bread, wheat pasta and wheat rice. It is much better for you all around.
