The harbour-side town of Auckland is New Zealand's true town and the vivid economic center of the country, know it with hotelbye . Auckland is also known as the "City of Sails" and it sprawls out in helter-skelter style between Manukau Harbour (to the west) and Waitemata Harbour (to the east) with the small main city section correct next to the waterway. For some guests to New Zealand, Auckland is the idea of arrival, and a few days washing up the social and outdoor attractions here must be on every tourist's to-do list. The monuments, museums, and artwork galleries listed here are some of the finest in the country. The suburban coastline of the city is speckled with fine beaches, and the islands of the Hauraki Gulf give a style of New Zealand's magnificent national park scenery right on the city's doorstep. Auckland happens to be a town worth seeing.

Well...from Singapore to Sydney it's about 10 hours, from Sydney to Auckland about 1:40...I would say about 11-12.
Certainly neither 4 nor 5, depend upon it.

It took me about 11-12 hours to fly from Auckland to HK, so I'd imagine it's similar in the other direction. Try going to an airline website, eg Virgin Atlantic, and type in some random dates - that should give you an answer.
