Yepp, i own an xdye sk8 shoes and mainly i ride bmx but i skate a bit on some friends sk8boards. Its very good and i use for everything its very comfy too. xdye is a cool brand (the coolest?? maybe) but i would turn to vans for a proper sk8 shoes and theyre great too. check out http://www.vans.com/index2.html

cheep payless shoes also work, shoes don't make skateboarding harder or easier unless they are uncomfortable. the more you skate the more shoes you'll buy cause you'll go through a pair in 4-6 months easily if you do it mid to hardcore. xdye shoes are good would work fine for skatebording, have fun

na try a diffrent brand like vans or etnies i skate in them all the time but adio and dc tear up to easy i think that vans and etnies last the longest
