I believe that the cosmos is an exciting explosion of stars or four billion suns if you like, I love it that within this massive and amazing chaos of colliding atoms and energy that I exist to contemplate the enormity of it.
Like wow!

Interesting question! I am not sure what I believe anymore. Events in my life recently have made me question everything, so really I don't have that satisfaction that you are asking about. I was raised in church, and have recently started back, but I do not feel that peace that I once felt. What made you choose to become an atheist after being a minister????

I get satisfaction in the world making a whole lot more sense since becoming an atheist.

Knowing that my life is my own and I have the ability to change anything about it myself. I can ask the Goddess and God for assistance when I want to change something, but I know that ultimately I am responsible for my happiness and there is nothing sinful about going after what I want and need, so long as I don't harm anyone else or myself. Also the closeness and harmony with nature, and the balanced aspect of my faith.

1) Seeing his Name cleared of all reproach, and him allowing me to take part in doing this. To take "the witness stand" in the universal court as it were, and have the opportunity to say that the lies that have been spoken about him are just that, lies.
2) Seeing the vidication of his right to rule, his Universal Sovreignty take place, and him allowing me to take part in this as well. To loyally submit myself to his rule
3) Knowing his Son, the Master, Leader, King, Noble Christ Jesus. Being given the opporunity to submit to his Kingdom rule, and be reasoned with on all of the blessings this brings me and my family.
4) That my Creator is pleased. He created everything I enjoy, including my own life force. He is worthy of my worship. I know his name, and what that name means. His qualities. What he's like as a person. How he's dealt with me. How he will or would deal with me. What he thinks of me. But most of all, that he receives worship, and that my form of worship pleases my Creator. Past that, nothing much matters.
5) The brotherhood that he has given me. I've been broke down in the middle of nowhere, hours from my home.
Telephone. Dials numbers from the phone book to the local congregation P.O.
"Hello Brother? I'm a brother from Michigan, and well, I'm in a bit of a fix . . ."
People I've never met are there at my side, helping me out. A brotherhood that would die for me in a heartbeat (as some have done where we are outlawed) but not only would they die for me, but they LIVE for me, every single day.
I always smile when I think of my wedding day so many years ago. A relative who does not share my faith looked at all of the people at my reception and said: "How do you KNOW all of these people?" Of course, I just mentioned through the various congregations. I didn't let her know it was quite common among us.

The Good Lord helped me to overcome my Pride. By letting me see that people tell you you are worrying, and full of it, and what you are trying to do won't work. And then turn around and tell
other people exactly what you said. And I stopped worrying about getting credit, and started putting it out there.
Plant the seeds for thought, and let God do the watering!

The love that God gives me and the peace. He gives me the will to go on. He never leaves me. He is always there when I want to talk. I know I can count on him

People don't become an atheist because its emotionally satisfying - we see religion is a crutch for the mentally and emotionally weak and embracing truth does not always mean what is comforting and makes us feel good.
If someone you loved died it wouldnt make you feel satisfied to think about them being gone but that wouldn't make it any less true.

satisfaction is not something I have ever felt about my religion. Peace, content, thankfulness, and growth I have felt and do feel
