Just wondering if anyone has views on wether they think the £340 upgrade per person is worth it? i know the seats are bigger and stuff and you get dedicated check in a meal and things but is there alot of difference ?I am a nervous flyer and this is my 1st transatlantic. would i be better spending my money when i get to New York?

Virgin are a very good airline and the Premium economy is fantastic. It is much better than the upgrade with British Airways ( if you get offered this it is not worth the money )

I would definatly pay the extra on a Virgin flight if you are a nervous flyer. You can also tell the airline that you are nervous and they will do what they can to help make the flight easier for you.

You will have an excellant time in New York. If you book through Virgin you will receive a free trip as well so it is worth loking into.
You can choose from a harbour cruise, empire state visit or helicopter tour.

Save your money, because it will be worth almost $700 in New York! I have flown Virgin, and sat in both seats. Yes, the thrill of an easier check-in and meal make you feel special, but after that is over (2 hours into a 9 hour flight) you will be asleep like everyone else!

If it was 340 gbp to upgrade to business, I would definately do it.

Anyway, take the $700 you save and use it to upgrade you lodging in New York, or for some nice meals, shopping, or Broadway.

Enjoy!

Seat 22k has about 6 inch's of further legroom because it truly is suitable cost economic device, some whinge that the noise from the commercial device area and the bathroom right now behind bothersome the window seats have restricted storage and legroom because of the presence of an kit field lower than the seat.

The upgrade is well worth the extra cost,I will never fly economy on a long hall flight again.
