Which company makes the best LCD TV's?

I'm looking for an LCD that has 1080p and looks great when playing movies and games on my XBOX 360, probably 40 inches or bigger. Any suggestions?

According to the latest issue of Consumer Reports: Panasonic is on the top of the list. Sony is playing catch-up, they are discontinuing the plasma, and currently concentrating on their LCD manufacturing process to be able to rival Panasonic.

Definitely Panasonic

Sony also makes GREAT LCD TV's but Panasonic is still better
