Why does having a personal relationship with Christ equal not attending a church service or a religious meeting? I will agree that attending church does not equal a personal relationship with Christ. However, the Bible commands us to "forsake not the assembling of ourselves together." We are a part of the body of Christ and everything that Christ does in the world today is through the church - this has always been His plan. To not connect yourself to a local body is to refuse not only God-ordained fellowship but God-ordained leadership. Going to church does not "save" you but if you are saved, you will have desire to go to church.

the only Christian leadership is in the teachings of Jesus the Son about the Father, control of this should be taking in an individual manner, and not in a collective manner which is were the Control of peoples can become and produce much less freedom. There is an organize religion to me there is the Catholic Church, that Guide peoples by repeating the Word of God, and practicing Jesus desires of worshiping the Father, by consecrating the bread and the wine. and allowing freedom for everyone to use his/her own Gift of Intelligence to man and woman, and worship HIM(God), and his Son as separate entities, as well to respect then Equally, until we get to find our own true, in our own mind, and understanding of the secrets of the trinity.

The wife and I both have a personal relationship with Christ and we are in church every week. We love church, so having a personal relationship with Christ does not cause us to stay away from the church.

It basically means that we are in constant communion with Him and cherish that relationship.

Jesus is not only the Son of God to us, He is a great friend.
It is because of that personal relationship that we live in peace and harmony with each other and with our neighbors.

Christian leaders (except Catholics) have always encouraged a personal relationship. When a child of God has a personal relationship with Christ they go to church to learn how to deepen their relationship. Not every church gives this guidance, but most do.

You are mistaken friend, a relationship with Christ leads people to wanting more of God, not less.
