i have a vauxhall astra and have setup a subwoofer in the boot, i got it all wired in except the main cable from the battery to the amp, through a fuse. but i cant find a hole which goes from the engine bay area into the footwells ?

anyone know where it is ?

find an existing gromet say throttle cable or something and punch through that....... if you do drill be sure you know whats on the other side as some things are unfriendly to aditinal holes

Not sure exactly where your's is, but generally, ALL cars have a hole on the driver's side that goes into the engine bay. If not for power cables, at least for the throttle cable. If you can't find yours, pop the hood and trace the throttle cable all the way back to the back of the engine bay. That should take you to a grommet, and a lot of the times there is either enough room in the grommet to cut and fit the wire, or another grommet located close by that will. It also helps if the engine bay is clean - dirt, oil and debris might be blocking a gromet from plain sight.

Get an electric drill and the hole can be anywhere you would like it to be! That's the best part of power tools, they make things like cars just a bit more flexible!!

If you can't find one, drill one. Just besure that you're not drilling into anything important and use a grommet.
