Yes, it is an adjustment going from greasy junk food to healthier options. It may take you a while to get used to it. What about slowly trying to get over to the healthier side by making gradual substitutions. If you want a hamburger, go for the 93% lean beef rather than the ground chuck. For fries, make them yourself and bake them rather than deep fry them. Switch to some low fat condiments on sandwiches. Use a little less butter on your toast. Put just a little more veggies on your plate and down those first, so you can get them out of the way. Drink extra water, so you can't eat as much junk food because you've filled yourself up already.

As for exercise, you don't have to go to a gym. Are there things you like to do? Perhaps you like to jog or walk. Or you like some sort of sport? You could also dance around your house. There's an infinite number of ways to get active. Just try to do something every day. And it's good to work up a sweat. If you find an activity that's fun and you enjoy it, you'll stick with it.

Losing weight is a very hard thing to do. Believe me, I know! I've lost 36lbs on Weight Watchers and still have over 50lbs to go. It's a constant struggle. Just remember, you're not alone in this. There are always others who are going through the same things you are.

They say greasy food is addictive, and i think its true because why else would "MCdonalds " be so successful when their food tastes like crap.!!

Eating healthy is a mind set,not a chore. Dont deny yourself Sweets , but controll the amounts that you eat and exercise accordingly. Start slowly it doesn't happen over night. Join a Gym. They are really cheap now adays.

This is my average menu for a day

Breakfast - Bowl of muesli with Low fat plain yoghurt and a small amount of honey.Eat Some toast with lite butter on if you are still hungry .
Snack - Fruit , Fruit , Fruit or Special K bars, Granola bars etc

Lunch - I usually have a sandwich (just one) on Ham and cheese etc with low fat mayo no butter.

Snack - Same as above

Dinner- No carbs , eat before 7pm(nothing to eat after this) Else have grilled or baked food . Add NO oils . Bake or boil Veg for a few minutes only to keep Nutrients in .

Get at least 30 mins exercise a day. Just take a walk around the block a few times . Walk up and down stairs if you have any.l

Cut out all oils and anything that contains oils.Once you have done this for a few days you will find that you dont "crave it anymore"

You've pretty clearly not had the GOOD healthy food. Healthy food that is cooked right is actually pretty tasty, and if you get used to it you will eventually wonder how you could stomach the greasy stuff.

For the exercise part- Don't try to jump into a full work-out routine: That's likely to overwhelm you so you will give up. Instead, get a good pair of shoes, learn a few stretching exercises, and walk. It's easier if you have a friend to walk with.

For healthy food: I know it will be a bit hard to put away the hamburgers and things. So don't try that. Instead, start making them yourself with a grade of ground beef that has a lower fat content. Start steaming your vegetables instead of boiling: Boiling tends to make vegetables soggy and to leach nutrients out. That's probably where you're getting the 'nasty' images from, and with that I would about have to agree.

Get a good cookbook, and learn how to make different tomato sauces. Learn how to use herbs and other seasonings. Learn how to make different things, and enjoy them. Learn how to make different stir-fries too. You may find you actually like creating these things.

And try to find a support group, since you have so much trouble tackling this monster alone.

Good luck!

Your weight doesn't sound too outrageous to me. In fact, I know a lot of shorter women and men who have this problem. The shape you're in right now could just be your body's natural state. Check with a doctor to make sure you are in reasonably good physical shape and introduce some exercise into your life.

Don't frown at the word "exercise." It's not as though you need to join a gym. You might just do some light cardio exercises while you watch TV, or walk instead of take elevators. The object is to get your heart rate up a few times a day.

I don't know how old you are but if you are young, right now it's all about your looks why you would want to lose weight, but trust me, I know heavy people, not so old but older, like middle aged who are losing their limbs from diabetes, getting dreadful infections, having heart attacks, taking expensive medications for all sorts of ailments. You must lose your taste for greasy fatty food, or limit it to once a month or on holidays only. I am not kidding you. You can do it. You don't have to go to just salads. Try eating grilled chicken, rice, pretzels, popcorn. Forget the fried and forget the grease. A little butter on potatoes and rice sure, but not deep fried food.

eating healthier is not nasty... maybe it's the food you're choosing. don't go health nut and try to live off tofu or whatever, just follow the food groups and drink lots of water.

you can't have no luck with exercise.. but the results aren't immediate! work on it a for a bit longer, with a friend or dog if it gets boring on your own and choose something you enjoy, like sport or swimming.

Yoga!! this wakes the body up through the stretching and the breathing techniques. I have recently added this to my lifestyle and I have been amazed at the results. Slowly start to replace your unhealthy foods with fun healthy foods and it will make a big difference. You will start to notice your body changing and shape changing as well.
