If you pray hard enough and want something more than anything will god answer it for you? I have learned in the past that it has felt like he has, even with things that seem hopeless, however could that just be luck?

God answers prayers.
Sometimes you will like the answers, othertimes you may not.

God knows what is best for you and will not give you what he knows will hurt you.

i.e., You may ask God to create a relationship between you and someone else. He doesn't, so you do it on your own, and it turns out to be the worst relationship that you ever had.

Hundreds of millions prayed for your god to stop Hitler before he caused 30+ million to die during WWII and he did NOTHING. A simple little blood clot would have done the trick, say in 1934, but NOOOOOO. If this god of yours could turn a good woman into a pillar of salt for looking over her shoulder, why couldn't he answer the prayers to end evil. Either your god is heartless, powerless, both, or does not exist at all.

I don't believe in luck. Your prayers may not always be answered the way you would hope. Look at it like this, when you were a child did not your parents say no sometimes?, even though you could not understand why? God is our father.
Keep praying, but always remember to give prayers of thanks!

We are told that GOD ansers prayers. A Christian has an open communication with GOD. HIS answer may still be a resounding "NO". There are things that I wanted that I could not get. Normally, later I found that these things were not necessary and it helped me to learn other lessons that I needed. Have a great week.

If you are praying for a corvette I doubt He will give it to you, but I also have felt God answer me. One of my favorite sayings it "luck is when God decides to remain anonymous".

Once or twice might be luck, but if it happens consistently it is a higher power.

We must realise that it is on His timeline not ours
We sometimes tend to try to hurry things up
God is never late just wait

Yes, it could just be luck. Try praying for something you know is physically impossible without the assistance of an omnipotent being, I guarantee you won't get it.

I believe that God helps us in many ways that sometimes we dont even realize. God may help you with things to get to your goal. Sometimes when things happen to me i look back and say if this event didnt take place, then i would never be here. I believe that God created the event to help me reach my goal.

With faith the size of a grain of mustard side you can move mountains. God does not work on luck, His will be done.

God always answers your prayers. But it might not be the answer you want. He may say yes, no, maybe but not right now. I believe He chooses what is best for us at the time.
