What I'm looking for is just one gift -- but that can be benefited from both of them.
Now...I'm not close with the bride--but simply know her as my hair stylist for 3 years.
I don't know the groom at all...never even seen him.

****************
If you were a GUY (as this gift will be coming from a guy given the situation explained above)--what would you give????

Side note: I'm just trying to help a friend out with some gift ideas....any help is most appreciated! ;-)

I have a standard gift that I give almost everyone I know that gets married. I get them bath towels. Big, fluffy, absorbent white/ivory towels. Two full sets: body towel, hand towel, washcloth.

A fun one is board games. 2 or 3 of them. Scrabble, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, etc. (But I only use this one if I know them really well)

If all else fails to inspire me and I don't really know anyone; I give money. I find a fun card, (I'm against sappy cards) and put in a crisp $50, with my well wishes inscribed inside.

I, personally, am against gift registries. I'm not fond of beggars and that is what it amounts to in my mind.

anything is good really. They r gonna need alot of new things so whatever they get im sure they'll love. wine is always a good one, but maybe some movies if they like movies. or try to get something fun that they can do together alone. That would be nice.

I would check their registry because both of them did it and agreed on the items on there. I personally love recieve piece of my china setting!!! I know my FI isn't completely jumping with joy but he also was a little exicted because he understands this is going to be the china that our family will be eating off of for holidays and hopefully generations :)
No matter what you give them, both of them will appriecate it.

i wager it relies upon on the bride and groom. some couples like massive extreme priced stuff, i could not dream of asking ppl for a sport or leisure stuff that we'd want to consistently get on our own. My husband truthfully favored money and that i'm great sentimental so the hand written message contained in the cardboard meant more suitable than something to me. considering we paid for many of the marriage ourselves all he might want to imagine about change into how are we going to pay for a honeymoon now or make amends for the charges for the month so money helped out plenty. he's not someone who likes stuff till its pratical like a sparkling shaving equipment or grilling equipment i imagine maximum adult men are like that. I admit we did get a good number of kitchen stuff. He loved that one and each of the stuff contained in the kitchen might want to ultimately journey and make our position look great considering its not something we ever imagine about, yet change into grumbling about the position are we going to locate room for each of the dinnerware ppl offered us. He change into chuffed we were given a crock pot so as that even he can make impressive pot roast or stew for us even as i'm at artwork late. the component he change into maximum enthusiastic about change right into a fryer my dad gave us considering my husband likes to ask ppl over and fry a bunch of seafood on sport days.

It sounds a little impersonal, but money. It's what I'm hoping for from our guests. After paying all of the expenses for a wedding, I'll bet your hairstylist will appreciate cash!

Stick to the wedding registry, if you can not find out where they are registered then stick to a gift card. I am sure they went shopping for everything on their registry together, so that would be best I am sure!

A wedding picture frame is always a good choice, maybe one that says "family" or something along that line.

I would say Hot Stone Massages. I know it sounds girly, but my fiance and his friends get at least 3 a year, and they LOVE them. And its relaxing and something they can do together, or not.
