yep! American's are all pretty much selfish pigs who want everything to get their hands on! they can believe in a magic fat man that can fit down Chimney's and raindeer that can fly, but yet just the idea of God seems impossible to them. Weird huh

Santa Clause... no. Imaginary figure used to create more sales revenue during the holidays.

Saint Nicholas... yes. A real man who lived during the third century.

You're very correct though. It seems that most people are out to get the gifts during the Christmas season. They forget the true reason why we celebrate.

Hey, man! I believe in Santa! Sure, Christmas to me is a celebration of the birth of Christ (which most scholars think took place in March or April) but HECK I say go for it!

With that, I also believe in Santa! Sure! Why not!

What? Santa didn't come to your house and it was just a family member sneaking out to leave presents? Maybe you were just naughty all year long and he didn't come by!

Clause? What is a Santa Clause?

I still believe in Santa Claus as St. Nicholas was the patron saint of children and his spirit is alive today. But the joy is in the GIVING of gifts, not receiving.

I think it gives people hope. And deep down people want there to be someone who just gives for the sake of giving.
Christmas is about Christ. But that seems to be getting lost most pople are just seeing it as a time of giving and receive gifts or just time off. There are some people who still get it though when then give just becuase it feels good to give and not expecting anything in return. To spread peace love and happiness at least once during the year.

That's because people expect presents. Deep down we know the true meaning of christmas, but we have been bombarded with what did you buy so and so for christmas. The stores prepare for the sales. We are expected to trade presents.

You're right. Everyone's focusing on presents and forgetting the solstice.

It is ridiculous the way people give children toys on Christmas then tell them the toys aren't important. I mean they're kids, of course the toys are important. Why is it so hard to understand that what Christmas is about for you is different to what Christmas is about for other people?
