You may be having a small amount of drainage that is causing the crust. Often this is a benign and easily treated hormonal problem, but there is the possibility of a breast infection...and yes...cancer. A doctor can easily determine the cause. Let me emphasize the odds are in your favor that it is a benign problem, but you should have it evaluated.

I have to agree that it is not normal for her to have this yellowish crust on her nipples but what I think it is and what it really is, is only my opinune here and she and you along with her go see a Doc. My thoughtsd are she has maybe sercreated a little bit of milk(if you will)and it has then tried thus making a crust.

If you are having drainage not due to lactating then I would have it checked out. That is one of the symptoms of breast cancer...not to say other things can't cause it but it would be wise to have it checked out if it is from drainage.
