ive got very sore itcy red patches on my scalp, anyone know how i can get rid, have used betnovate from doc but never seem to heal and they are driving me mad!!!???

You should never use betnovate - if it does work it is only temporary and can permanantly thin/damage your skin. Sounds like psoriosis. You could try a medicated shampoo such as Polytar which the doctor should be able to prescribe to you.

Go back to doc and ask for something steroid based like Fucidic Acid. It might be exsma (sorry about spelling!) or psoriasis that needs specific treatment but insist your doc tells you what it is and look it up on the net for advice. If you don't know what it actually is you can't help yourself.

betnovate.......is that the 4 in 1 pink n white tube.......I got told not to use it on my daughters scalp as it would make it worse!

I am an alternative medicinal therapist. You can try Calendula cream or Tea tree oil dialuted. Sudacreme is also good

put some olive oil in your hair leave for bout 20 mins n wash it out, also honey is quite good do the same thing as the olive oil!

Use Olive oil in your hair or change your shampoo to a baby's shampoo like johnsons as it helped me.

try changing a habbit you do with regards to your hair.. like if you wash your hair every day try not washing your hair for a while.. it sounds like dry skin, so if you let it recover without doing anything to dry it out (eg washing your hair), it should get better!
