i was stupid and did my own henna tattoo...and i'm not artistically gifted in the form of drawing...so it totally sucks...but its all over my arm and hand, so i was just wondering if there was a way to get it to fade faster...i've researched online and it seems like there is no hope! i've tried alcohol, different types of soap, scrubbing, and nothing seems to work!

Unfortunately it's going to take a little time. Henna tattoos usually take around a month to fade completely, but that depends a lot on how deeply the henna stained the skin, how much exposure the skin gets to sunlight and water, and certain parts of the body shed skin cells faster than others.

To help the process along, you can gently exfoliate your skin. And I mean gently (no scrubbing at it with abbrasives that will only injure you). One every other day, when you shower, gently scrub the area with a loofa. This will help the skin to regenerate faster, but it's still going to take time.

Fortunarely, it's winter so you can cover it up with long sleeves. Next time you decide to do henna, it's best to go to someone who is an experienced henna artist to get the best result.

Tattoo henna will stay on the skin for about one to four weeks. The more you wash the area with the tattoo, the faster it will fade.

Keep Scrubbing it'll fade away!
