YOU CAN bring it up here! I too am concerned by those who profess to be CHristian and do not care about the others. There are answers to this but You need to read and study the BIBLE continually and be willing to study with others. They may or may not be people that you already know. I have had studies with people that I know and people that I do not know so that they would have an opportunity to be in heaven.. Jesus gave the Great Commission to the Disciples nand we are a part of that group. It is our JOB to seek and find the LoSt and teach them about Christ so that they may be among the saved of this world. I suggest that you find a Non-denominational group of Christians near your home and study with them. They ShOuLd answer every question using Book, Chapter, and Verse so that you know where the answers are from. I do not believe that man can make any decisions about GOD's Intentions without BIBLE AUTHORITY or example.
To become a real Christian, we are told that we must HEAR the WORD in John 6:45, Jesus said, “It is written in the prophets, And they shall all be taught by God. Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.” We are also told so in Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. We are told the we must BELIEVE in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. We are also told so in Mark 16:16, Jesus said “He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.” and in John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. We are told that we must REPENT (or turn from sin) in Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Also in Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST in Romans 10:9-10 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. We are also told in 1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. We are to be BAPTIZED according to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” and Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. We are to CONTINUE to be FAITHFUL UNTIL DEATH according to Revelation 2:10c Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. We also know that Paul wrote in Romans 14:12 each of us shall give account of himself to God. It is important that we not ignore what is written, change what is written, or add to what is written in the New Testament which is our Christian Guide. Have a great week.

Hi, what a sweet person you are to worry about others, and I mean that sincerely. I am not a Christian but a Spiritualist but I do believe in God and Jesus Christ. My spiritualist belief is that we all go to Heaven, or Spirit World, but there are different parts of it - the good go one place, the bad the other, the latter until they are sorry for what sins they have committed while on Earth. There is no Hell. Forget the Bible, this was written by men, not God, and the concepts in the Bible are meant to frighten and empower you and the reason they invented the place they call Hell. God does not punish because he loves us all. My father did not believe but I know he is in a good place because he has come back to me through communication - I have absolute concrete proof. All you can do is to pray for your friends that they eventually 'see the Light' but if it is not their path, or destiny, to do so then it will not happen. But neither is anything bad going to happen to them either.

Couple of points:
1) All people will have a chance to accept or reject Jesus. This includes those who never knew about Jesus during their mortal lives. If not, God would not be a just God. This is why Paul spoke about baptism for the dead (ie proxy ordinances). It is also why Elijah spoke about "turning the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to the fathers" (ie genealogy and proxy ordinances)
2) If a Christian is sincere, he/she ARE bothered if their neighbors and friends do not know about the "good news" of the gospel. Evangelicism is a fundamental part of the gospel of Jesus Christ and has been since Jesus's time on Earth. So if you know Christians who aren't concerned about anyone else but their own salvation...I would suggest that they do not fully understand their religion.

nice comment,
but how about in a kind manner is do some research on what hell really is. It is a Babylon belief for one, Jesus did not die so all persons could go to heaven. He died so persons that do accept his sacerifice can live on the earth, like wise with persons that did not have an opportunity to make a choice or what is called unrighteous persons would live again in a resurrection.
This arrangement in the bible fulfills Gods original purpose is to have persons populate the earth.
Being tormented in a place of fire is not a Bible teaching. Why would there be a hell and then in the bible it states hell is thrown into the lake of fire???? Symbolically those are other terms with different meanings.

I was brought up a Roman Catholic, due to events i have witnessed i am unsure as to what i believe now, however I think the idea of hell is wrong. Why should a religion have to use such a horrible scare tactic to get you to believe and act in the way they advise? It can give you nightmares that no matter how well you live your life, if you can not except the idea of Christ then you will burn for all eternity. What about the genuine good people, who help others and live lifes of selflessness, yet don't believe in Chirst, maybe because they are atheist or of another religion? Why should they suffer an eternity of torment?
I'm not scared of the amount of people that maybe going to hell, i'm more scared of going their myself, I see that as wrong. Why should I fear a God, that is claimed to be benevolent?
If you are that worried yourself for these other people, pray for their souls, but do not force your views on them if they don't want them. (No offence meant)

I find it amazing that so many Christians here say hell is not in the Bible. Jesus introduced the concept of hell to the Jews - not the Greeks or the Romans, but Jesus, the supposed son of God. And if you don't believe the Gospels, well most of Paul's epistles mention hell at least once, too.
More amusing is the compromise that, yes, hell exists, but that it's a place of temporary cleansing until we accept God. I don't know about YOU, but I will NEVER worship anyone who tortured me until I accept them. Unless Stockholm Syndrome sets in after a few thousand years - I suppose that might be possible.

We can tell others of Jesus but we are not to force our believes on them.
God is the judge, not us. If we could please God by our efforts or sincerity, then it would mean that a finite person can appease an infinite God by doing good works. It further means that sincerity becomes a meritorious condition of the heart.
It would be like saying, "God, I am worthy to be with you because of the good works I have done and the good and sincere condition of my heart." Can any mortal who has fallen into sin ever do anything good enough to please an infinite God?
The answer is no. Gal. 2:21 says, "I do not nullify the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.” In other words, if we could get to heaven by what we do, then Jesus didn't need to die on the cross.
Therefore, God has established that our works and sincerity cannot be good enough. Those who still maintain that we can please God by our efforts, we must ask how many good works must he perform in order to undo an offense against an infinitely holy God? Is there a standard by which we can judge which sin requires how many goods works to cancel out? There is none. Therefore, he is left in a predicament. Since God must punish the sinner for offending Him (breaking His holy and righteous law), and our works cannot undo the offense against God, then how are we going to escape so great a righteous judgment?
The only way to escape the righteous judgment of God is to trust in the provision He has made. This provision is found in Jesus. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life," (John 3:16). Jesus is the only way to salvation (John 14:6). Jesus is also God in flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9). Therefore, Jesus' life is of infinite value.
This means that His sacrifice is sufficient to cleanse you of your sins. It is capable of satisfying the infinitely righteous standard of God that is required to match His infinite holiness.

First Buck understand that people are not laughing at Jesus. They are laughing at all of the silliness that religion has woven around the idea of Jesus.
If you actually read the words of Jesus in your bible, rather than just accepting what other people tell you he said you will see that Jesus did not think that people were going to go to hell at all.
It's right there in black and white but religion has chosen to obscure the truth that Jesus was trying to show us, and cover it up with old testament scripture full of stories about a judgmental punishing God.
A God that is almost the exact opposite of the Unconditionally loving God that Jesus spoke of.
Don't take my word for it. Read it in Jesus' own words right out of your own bible.
Its there if you know where to find it.
Love and blessings Don

To punish, is to teach a lesson that willcause a positive behaviour to come about. It is to better a person. A lot of people look at it saying how can some one be a better person, and learn from their mistakes, when eternal flames may be all they will for eve face, what possitive lessons can be made? Hell is a perminate revenge.
If he is so loving and just, and if he is all knowing, then he knew we will strike out on our own paths. Yet he let us come into being any way

why are you banning all non believers from answering your question when we are the ones you are responsible for 'saving' ? you are excluding the very people who you are concerned about! Surely this is contrary to your very beliefs? I have many Christian and other religious friends. We all respect each others faiths and are not offensive or abusive. Religion is good discussion material as long as everyone is civilized and respects one and other by listening sincerely.
the concept of hell is only in the minds of the people who have been told from birth that we have a free reign to do as we please on earth as long as we accept Jesus, we will go to heaven. This idea is not appealing to many people who wish for a peaceful, safe, loving environment on earth.

The more reason I need to answer this question. Some translators of the bible when speaking of hell, did not translated it.
In the Hebrew Scriptures of the Bible the word “hell” is translated from the Hebrew word sheol. It occurs 65 times and in the Authorized King James version Bible is translated 31 times “hell,” 31 times “grave,” and 3 times “pit.” In the Greek Scriptures of that Bible version the word “hell” is translated from the Greek word Hades in all of its ten occurrences. Both sheol and hades mean the common grave of mankind, and never relate to pain or fiery torment or to anyone living several miles below the surface in Siberia!
Unfortunately, as much as other doctrines of so-called Christianiy, Fiery Hell torment is a pagan teaching.
