Sounds to me like you have either tonsilitus or a strep throat. In either case you are going to have to go and see your family Doctor. IMMEDIATELY!

If it's only strep throat he'll give you antibiotics. Take them ALL! I know they are gross and they stink - but take them all!

If it's tonsilitus, then you'll have to have your tonsils removed by surgery - not too fun - but it's fairly common - and nothing to be afraid of - you'll get a lot of free ice cream out out it!

You need an antibiotic, sounds like. Gargle with warm salt water and do it frequently. That will also help.
If you can stand the taste, and it's really not that bad, you can do an aspirin gargle too. Crush a 325mg aspirin up, put it into a glass with some warm water and gargle. It will take the pain away from your throat.
Drink, drink, drink. I know that sounds impossible with your throat hurting the way that it does, but you must drink. Drink cold or cool thins to help with the swelling.
Try warm, moist compresses around the outside of your neck.
But make sure that you gargle with the salt water often. It will definetely help.
Hope you feel better

Go to your doctor. Most likely you have strep. Not a big deal, but could turn into something very bad. If not treated Strep has been known to kill. It is easily treated with antibiotics. Also, try some Zinc tablets for the pain. They can be found at any drug store or local grocery store.

If those bubbles on your tonsils or the back of your throat are whitish, you need to get to a doctor ASAP. In fact, you should do that anyway if you're having that much problem swallowing.

I would gargle with warm salt water! Salt seems to soothe sore throats! Just don't swallow, it can make you gag!
