My cat loves it when I cook breakfast.
Especially bacon and eggs.He just about looses his voice when he beggs for bacon and eggs. He's also about 16 pounds and he's 5 years old.Do you think bacon and eggs could give him high colesterol?

Bacon is cured with salt and that excess salt is not good for your cat. When I have bacon I give one or two very small tidbits to one of my cats who likes it. It is also not good for cats to eat the whites or eggs - just the yolk is best. If the eggs are fried in the bacon fat it's too much fat for them.

Cats do not have problems with high cholesterol like humans do. Maybe you should consider changing YOUR breakfast menu.

I would imagine it's possible. All that fat can't be good for him!

If you continue to give him breakfast foods, it would be a good idea to put him on a low-fat diet otherwise.

Another thought would be to put 1/2 tsp of bacon grease in his dry food and mix it up...rather than giving him the bacon itself.

I doubt the eggs would harm him too much.

I wouldn't give them bacon if I were you. Not only becuase of the oil, but becuase of the high salt - makes their fur fall out.

I've never considerred it, but it probably could happen. Don't let your cat have too much: The salt is bad for him, and he does sound like a big boy.
