Myself and this guy get along great.i am attracted to him so i could be reading more into this situation.The guy i am attracted to came up to me first thing when we saw eachother and wished me a happy new year.Then he started involving me in conversations inadirectly when he was talking to someone else.After a little while he stopped and started talking to this guy i don't know.I don't even know of. They were talking for ages and then today the guy i don't know walked past me and said how are you going.The guy i like said something and was joking around and he looked at me to see what my reaction would be.when we talk it seems like his eyes never leave me and he asks me questions about things i've told him.so what do you think.is my attraction to this man blinding me to reality or do you think it is a reality that he likes me?

It's hard to say at this point. Many people are polite and include people in a conversation especially at parties. Good conversationalist also maintain eye contact when they speak to you.
If he is interested, he will make his interest known to you by asking you out. Until then be friendly but don't chase him. Men like to be the hunter.

Seems like you two are really good friends. Take it slowly and see how it goes. Just drop some hints and see his reactions. You could also try to ignore him for a while - it does work. If you ignore him and he likes you a lot he will want to try even harder to get your attention to himself. Or if your brave enough, just ask him!

honestly, your attraction to this guy might be blinding you to reality. i don't think he likes you like that right now. he might be getting attracted to you...but not fully. give it some time and see what happens. if anything else happens, its a good sign. but if he just continues giving eye contact and talks to you...it just means he wants to stay friends.
