Unfortunately as easy as it sounds it would NOT stop them!
I mean... where would you drop it? Where would you stop?
The problem is that the "Movement has spread across the entire world, if you read enough of the world news you would find out that it is taking place in every country across the globe.
The only thing that can be done is what we are doing now... just keep gathering intelligence and going after them... relentlessly!

The problem with that is there is a large amount of "Government" people that would rather have you believe there isn't a problem and if we ignore it, it won't affect us... Bull, we did that with 911 as well as many other incidents, the extremists flaunt it and we ignored it for a long time!
Ignore it no more... we need to get on and stay hot on their tales... it is the only way.

No, and why would anyone think that it would? The only way to successfully deal with terrorism is through the use of ‘police’ tactics and methods. You cannot use a warfare mentality, approach, and methods to solve the terror problem.

When was the last time you heard anything about the IRA or the Red Brigade? You don’t hear anything about them because they were handled as crime issues with police methods and tactics.

The only people pushing the ‘war’ strategy are the same people who have failed in Afghanistan and Iraq and are losing their ‘war on terror’. How bad is your plan if it leads to defeat in two of the militarily weakest countries in the entire history of mankind?

And, how incompetent is your execution if it results in your enemy becoming more popular, powerful, and successful than even they ever dreamed possible, while simultaneously turning the entire world against you?

Exactly how much damage to America will be enough to satisfy the conservative and religious right? Continuing to follow their strategy will lead only to victory by the terrorists and defeat to America.

Why do you think Bin-Laden made that video in 2004 to help Bush win re-election?

First it would take more than one, many more, to take out a large focus of the problem, Iran then on to Syria and probably Pakistan
and possibly Saudi Arabia and Indonesia. Then with that done we could start going after the smaller groups that are hiding around the world. Unfortunately this will never happen because we are hamstrung by our own and our allies political correctness and inability to see the situation for what it actually is, and this may end up costing us the whole ball of wax.

Don't drop it yet, but you could aim a few nuke missles at a few muslim sites in the event that some terrorists sets one off in any US city. Make it kown the consequences of their actions beforehand. Yes... it will take out a few million innocent people, but these "innocent" people are not innocent until they band together to stopr the terrorists living amoung them. The "devil may care" attitude from the muslim world makes them co-terrorists. Face the facts people!

It probably would never result to that because of the oil in the region. If you think gas costs a lot now, imagine what it would cost if we vaporized the oil pumps in the Middle East. Bad idea.
