My mom has Cirrhosis (I just found out yesterday) and the Dr's at Ohio State University Medical Center said they found a spot on her liver and they are doing a biopsy today. Does this spot mean cancer or could it be something else?

I hate to disagree with everyone but with Cirrhosis the next step is liver cancer. It is the natural progression of things. By chance does she have Hep C also. Sorry but as a medical professional I feel it is necessary to be honest so you are not suprised. Best of luck.

a spot on the liver is not always cancer. glad that she is getting good medical attention. don't know her name, but will lift her up in prayer as well as the doctors who are caring for her.
