After Care Instructions:
Before shampooing hair, brush hair to seperate extensions.
Always shampp stankdin upright, USE A RAKING MOTION, This will also help minimize matting.
Massage shampoo under Extendsions. Do not use Volumizing, Clarigying, Dandruff, or color care shampoos, this will open the cuticle layer and cause matting.
Shampoo only near the scalp. If you shampoo the ends it will strip the oils from the hair and may cause matting
Rinse Shampoo out.
Apply Conditioner. Do not appyl conditioner near the bonds or scalp.
Conditioner may soften the bonds and make some fall out.
Rinse Conditioner.
Towel dry by patting not rubbing
Shampoo no more every three days ( I know its hard, but you will train your scalp not to make so much oil)
Styling
Don not detangle when wet - your hair is weakest when wet.
Apply gloss drops (Paul Mitchell Gloss Drops are the best)
Blow dry your hair using only your hands until 90% of your hair is dry then after you dry it the rest of the way you may use a 100% boar bristle brush to detangle. Round brushing is the easiest way to style your extensions. Thise will help smooth out your naturral hair as well as you extension hair. Taking smaller sections will make it easier.
You may use a flat iron or curling iron to style your hair (use straight spray from Art Tec) The flat iron will make your hair blend better (but do not use it everyday, maybe on the second day).
You can always apply more gloss drops if the hair still has fly-aways. (make sure you imulsify it in your hands before you apply and keep away from scalp)
No swimming!
Dont ever let your hair air dry either! Never put it in a bun!
Sleeping
Brush hair before sleeping.
Silk pillowcases will reduce matting as well or you can wrap in silk scarf.
Do not use uncovered elastic bands.
I hope this helps! Just a few things I send my customers home with when I put in extensions!

Try not to wach too often as it makes it go frizzier quicker. I have extentions and wash my own hair around it while trying to keep the extentions dry. Straighten every day and put on smoothing balm which helps in the short term but not the long. It's such a shame they go like this as they look lovely when they are first done but go frizzy and tatty very quickly. My best advice has got to be the keep dry from experience they last longer then.

Iv been having hair extensions now for about 2 years and it is hard work keeping them looking nice and healthy!!I just use normal shampoo and conditioner on it,although you are adviced to use a special one,i have found that normal brands work just the same! The hair does tend to dry out very quickly though so thats why you need them changing about every 6-8 weeks to make sure they stay looking really nice!!Every other night i put conditioner in the lenghts of the hair(not near the bonds)and plait it and sleep in it over night.A shine spray is also a good way of making it look nicer or you could also try a serum! Also if you have time it is a good idea to let it dry naturally to save extra heat damage! x

I do extensions all the time and I tell the girls not to wash the extensions every day it will dry them out. You can try using a sheen spray, or any oil based spray. I also recommend wrapping them up at night when you sleep in a scarf or rag. The more you use a flat iron on them the dryer they will become also.

if it's human hair then I would treat it the same way you treat your own...as for straighteners...are you using a heat protection serum? That could help if that doesn't work try some shampoo n conditioner for frizzy hair or lay off of the straighteners for a while

Clip-ins are no longer undesirable on your hair. in spite of the undeniable fact that, your scalp does would desire to respire to confirm that healthful boost. (relaxing-certainty: it extremely is between the justifications adult men shouldn't positioned on baseball caps each and every of the time! It promotes untimely balding.) i could propose in uncomplicated terms donning your clip-ins once you're going out. no longer while you're merely putting out with pals or doing chores. And use products familiar that promotes lengthening. i've got no longer tried it, yet a number of my stylist pals swear via product stated as mane and tail... or something like that. you will locate it at objective or any great retail shop. it is made for horse hair, yet they swear it supply you thickness and length. i do no longer understand from adventure b/c I surely have too thick hair and am scared to objective it! in spite of the undeniable fact that it is decrease priced, as a result properly worth a try in my e book!

OK you have made a commitment and you have to take care of it.
If it becomes frizzy you may need a trim.
Go back to who did it and tell them.
It can be many problems I can't call it from what your saying.
Good Luck

You could use a flat iron and iron it out. Try putting some of the non frizz oil on it, and then iron it out. It should come out fine...
