Well there are a number of things that attribute to this.
Change in food.( Some dogs can't digest corn based food)
Water softener( makes for soggy poos)
Toys/Chews/Treats( can make their tum tum all jumbled)
Grass( the grass helps a hard poop go soft)
Diarrhea( dogs can be a weensy bit under the weather too!)
OR the poop is just soft.
It can be a number of things, but the only way I would be alarmed is if your pup seems to be uncomfortable. If he whines or whimpers when he's pooping,or hides after, that means something is definitely wrong.
Good luck with the new pup!

Yes your puppy is most likely eating poop. Believe it or not it is a natural instinct for a puppy to eat poop. In the wild a mother dog and her puppies would be confined to a small den. When the dogs needed to poop it would make a mess of the den, so, mother nature intervened and made it part of their diet. This does two things. First it keeps the den clean and second it provides a source of nutrients for the pups. Dogs will grow out of eating other dogs do do, but a natural part of a dogs diet is animal do do. Dogs are not hunters, they are scavengers and like most scavengers they eat what they find.

Just because the breeder fed him that kind of food doesn't mean it's a healthy food. Put him on Canidae, Wellness, Natural Balance or Innova (if you don't have him on one of those already). Even Chicken Soup for the Dog's Soul is a great food.
Avoid corn and soy (fillers), wheat (common allergen) and by-products when reading through the list of ingredients for your dog food.
If it doesn't get better, call your vet.
Remember too that you have to gradually change the food by mixing new and old together with a little more of the new food every day until the dog is completely on the new food.

He may be drinking more water than usual and eating less food.
This happens to my dogs sometimes. Try giving him more
food and make sure it's dry food.
BTW, it's okay to change your dogs food to something else if you
want.
My dogs all came with expensive Iams or Pedigree canned food from the breeder. My vet says there is nothing wrong with
the dry OL ROY Puppy food they sell at Walmart. He says that it has the same nutrients and vitamins in it as the more expensive stuff aand is just as good. That's what he feeds all his dogs.
My vet breeds fancy show dogs. He has their trophy's and ribbons all over his office.

HI
It could be cociddia making the stool soft and they get that a couple of weeks after they get in their new home. A stool sample could be taken to the vet for a diagnosis. I noticed mine gets the runs when they eat too much or over drink. Hope this helps.

This can be caused if he is eating too much meat and soft foods or getting too many treats, try giving him more fibre in his diet, biscuits not meat based treats, but veggie based ones, etc or, it could be worms, take him to the vet if it doesn't firm up and get him thoroughly checked.

Maybe he got into something outside and nibbled on it. Or maybe its just the excitement of living in a new environment. Or maybe he's coming down with something. If it gets any soggier take him to the vets to get checked out. Are you giving him any table scraps? Is the water any different (well or city), sometimes chemicals in the water can upset their tummies too.

Is he eating lots of treats and rawhide chews? If so, his system is probably adjusting to them just as it would if you gave him a different food.
If it continues, have him checked out by a vet - It could be a sign of an infection or other parasite.

May be it's what hes eating. I have a yorkie and were starting to give her a lot of water and her poop is soft. I thought about using this stuff called "Poop n' Freeze". It hardens their poop.Problem solved.(i found the poop stuff on the net)

It sounds to me that it's time to deworm your puppy again.
I could be more specific if I knew how old is the pup etc., anyway, get it check out by your vet to identify what type of worms it has,.
Once it's clear of them, start you pup on the monthly heartworm prevention, which also treats intestinal parasites.
