This will be absolutely fine as long as you prepare sensibly in advance. Your baby will need to be kept in the shade when you are out side, so make sure that your pushchair has a good hood or an efficient sun shade. You can buy ultra violet light protectors that cover the entire pushchair. The most suitable clothing will be light but long sleeved and long legged and your baby will need a sun hat. Ultra violet light protective clothing is available, mostly in the form of garments that resemble thin wet suits. Mothercare is a reliable stockist of clothing to be worn in hotter countries.Sun cream is essential - the one that is made especially for babies. Mosquito repellants would be advisable to have in the room at night, and a light netting to cover the cot. If your baby is formula fed - take the formula with you as any found in Spain will not be exactly the same (because of different government regulations) - and the difference, even if it is slight, could upset your baby. Bottled water must be used for babies when on holiday in Spain, and this must still be boiled once. The water must meet these two criteria - the sodium content must be less than 20 mg per litre and the fluoride level less than 1.5 mg per litre. Powdered and ready made infant milk formulas travel well in the hold of the 'plane - keep the tamper proof strip intact on the boxes of powder, for your own safety at Customs. On take off and landing have your baby drinking, even if it is only water - this will prevent his ears from hurting. There is probably so much more that I could say as advise - so that you have a wonderful holiday. If you would like to e-mail me my address is marilynbarrell@yahoo.co.uk. Anyway, have fun, relax - and your baby will be fine.

Yes, it will be but make sure you bring lots of baby sun block, also light cotton clothes for the baby because of the heat, and some plug in mosquito repellents. Also bring sting relief but check with your pharmacist that it can be used on babies.

July and August are very hot, with the humidity particularly high in August so do as much as possible to keep baby cool.

It'll be ok to take the baby to a familly orientated resort. To take the child to one of the young and lively resorts would be madness. In these places parties go on all night with people going nuts
