I loved Italy. I lived there for 2 years.
I think of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I lived in Pisa and I never got enough of strolling over to the Tower on Saturdays. I loved it. Great food, nice people, lots of history. I loved Rome and seeing where Peter and Paul had been in jail, etc.

When I hear "Italy", I think my first thoughts are focused on its rich history with the Roman Empire, the Coliseum, the painters/sculptors/artists, and the Renaissance.

I think of Sicily. My great-grandparents came from there and when I hear anything to do with Italy, that is what comes to mind. Thank you.

Our trip there last year. We went up (but not in) Mt. Vesuvius, toured Pompeii, nearly lost a kid in Naples, went to the Coliseum and saw hundreds of American with Canadian flags on their backpacks.
