Most Cheetahs have spots but there is a different color pattern and these Cheetahs are called the King Cheetah that has spots but also long stripes down the top of it's back. King cheetahs are not a separate species, just a different coloration pattern caused by a recessive gene, similar to black leopards and white tigers.

A cheetah usually has spots. It can appear in a striped pattern as well--the product of a double recessive gene. Pics--- http://www.cats-inverurie.co.uk/News/Nov04/KingCheetah.htm
