Good questions. This website (http://www.rmbowman.com/catholic/OrdReq.htm ) has some pretty good information on how a person becomes a deacon in the Catholic Church, what education is required, and how much it costs. This website (http://www.austindiocese.org/resources/pdf/DIOCESAN_POLICY_MANUAL.pdf ) gives information on salaries etc. Take a look at pages C-8 through C-10. Generally, it looks like deacons are supposed to have outside jobs of their own. They are to be compensated for Church-related expenses, but not necessarily paid salaries. Depending on the church and depending on the specific work they do there, however, they may receive a salary. This could be either full- or part-time, whichever is appropriate.

Read the bible it is more better before attending any seminar. Even without financial support you can learn thru reading the Bible, you can discover if your religion is fooling you. Leave the church if they teach different from the teaching of Christ.
