It took me a year to go from red to blonde. The only way to do it quicker is to bleach your hair then dye it blonde, and that is very damaging. What my stylist did was every 3-4 months incorporate more and more blonde streaks into my hair until it was all blonde, took just over a year, and my hair is perfectly healthy.

I would not recommend trying this at home as it can turn out pink/orange you name it!! Not a good idea.... red to blonde is the hardest transition to make (if you don't go the bleach route).

Sorry there aren't more options, but I hope this gives you ideas.

If your hair is reddish and you want it blond use a ash color and that will take as much red out as possible. Don't get your hopes up to high red is a hard color to change.

If you really want that color I suggest seeing a color expert the first time to see how it's done and what they use.
Tell them you don't have time to get in all the time and you do it at home. They should be more than happy to help.
We don't want you walking around with the wrong color as It makes us look bad.
Good Luck

most red heads don't look good as blonds. not totally blond anyway. do some heavy hilites all over with at least 3 different shades of blond and keep some red in it (for depth)

scruples has an AWESOME hilite system.
