i simply can't fall asleep before 2:00. i'm a big chocolate fan, but even when i don't eat chocolate i have trouble sleeping. i just start thinking about everything and i can't fall asleep and i'm pretty tired all day. i always fell asleep hardly and woke up late but for the past 6 months i think i'm becoming an insomniac. i wake up at 10:30 in the morning now, i don't even set the clock because i know i'll stop the alarm and go back to bed.
waking up early has even worse results, because i still fall asleep late even if i get up at 7. how can i do to fall asleep?

Avoid caffeine and cigarettes within 4-6 hours of bedtime. Avoid alcoholic beverages. Get up at the same time every day, no matter what time you go to bed the night before, this will help you to feel sleepy at the same time every night. If you are unable to fall asleep or unable to get back to sleep after 20 mins get out of bed and go to a different room reserve your bed for sleep and intimacy only. Don't eat a large meal before going to bed this will keep you awake a light snack mat help you to sleep though. Keep your room comfortable temperature ,dark and quiet or adding a fan for some white noise and to mask other nighttime noises. Be comfortable with your bed, clothing, and bedding. DO NOT nap during the day no matter how tired you are. No vigorous or strenuous exercise within two to three hours of bedtime. A nice hot relaxing bath before bedtime. Following a routine at bedtime can help to signal your body and mind that it is time to rest. And if it is disrupting your life that much go see your family Dr. and request a sleep aid such as Zopiclone it helps you to fall asleep quickly and wake up easily in the morning without the sleeping pill hang-over it is also not habit forming it does leave you with a less than pleasant taste in your mouth in the morning but goes away when you brush your teeth. hope this helps I know what it's like to want nothing more than a night of restful sleep.Good-Luck

Your not alone in this problem. many people now days suffer from sleeplessness. You have a pc, read books, write. If you work then it's too bad but if you don't, like me, I catch up on naps the next day. Eventually the doctor said my body will make me sleep when I get tired enough.
