Well, I moved from another state a couple months ago and me and my husband had no house so we agreed to move in with my brother and his girlfriend. We are moving monday to our own house, but my problem is, yesterday they went shopping and usually we write our names on all our food so we know who's is who's....but she wrote on their butter tub- Do Not Touch, I will KILL you, I will KILL you in your sleep!
Lately she has had an attitide towards me and my husband and I am very upset by her writing that.To me, that is a death threat. If I called the police, will they just laugh at me? or can they do something about this? what would they do? What should I do? I tried talking to her and she just has an attitude.....

Oh ya, we actually kept them off the streets, we paid for the deposit for this house, and we split the rent because they cant afford to live on their own....they are moving her mom in when I leave.

My bro's G/f is 19 so you can see she is immature.

Don't touch any of their food. Don't try to carry on a conversation with her. Get out asap. After you move, call the police and report the pot and then call the Child Wellfare department in your area and report the child mother for abuse. Also, if at all possible, "do not" tell them were you are moving to, for your own protection.

The police will more than likely see this as a domestic issue and since she didn't put the name of the person she would "kill" in their sleep it can't really be seen as a direct threat. Definitely move out ASAP. You might even consider staying in a cheap motel until you move, one: to make a point and two: to get some rest and peace of mind before the stress of moving. Either way it sounds like she's frustrated at having house guests and a bit immature so let it go and move on, move out and fuggettaboutit!

Based on what you say, it is not advisable. Call the police only if there's a serious threat or reasons to suspect that bodily harm can be done to you. If you have a serious problem with those people, Why are you still there? Haven't you met anyone yet in your new State that can give you a hand?
If you suspect that those people could and would harm you in any way, get out of there. Go to a shelter if necessary, but get out of there. PREVENTION IS THE KEY TO SAFETY.

This couple opened their home to you and they are ready for you to get it together and get out on your own. She is telling you this the only way she knows how. It is not proper or course. But it's time for you to MOVE ON! The food situation as a whole says that there is division here. Forget the police. Let your brother know about the tub of butter so that seed is planted in his head. Thank him for keeping you from being homeless and let him worry about the nut case as long as he wants to live with someone who would do something like that.

If you call the police be prepared if they ask you to leave the house I think that is what they do in most domestic cases. Myself I would say nothing but when I moved out I would buy her the biggest tub of butter I could find and write on it I WILL NEVER EAT YOUR BUTTER AGAIN.

I am sorry to tell you sweetheart, But the police can't and they won't do anything until the act has been committed. That's the law. Not unless your the first lady of the United State of America their has been no crime committed. It falls under the act of freedom of speech rights. And you are in her home. In most state if someone is in your home & they commite a crime, The owners of that home have the right to defend them self. But the best thing for you & your husband to do is to move out and stay in a hotel, Or with friends until your place is ready.

Since you're moving out soon, just try to avoid her like the plague. If she always acts like this, she seems a little unstable.
Just move out and make sure not to grab any of their food by mistake. Hopefully, your brother will pick a better choice for a girlfriend next time.

You can take any necessary measures to save the child's future but you do not need to retaliate to this gf of your brother. When you will move, she will understand herself, what she missed. And perhaps with age, she will gain enough maturity to understand where she went wrong. If she doesn't, it's her own loss. Be happy for your new life and hope you will have the much-needed peace now.

I would thank them for letting you and your husband stay as long as you have and then go to a hotel for the next few days until you get into your house.
There may be more to this story, after you go to the hotel, or get into your house, I would talk with your brother and let him try and figure out what was up with his girl friend.

just totaly ignore her tillyou move out and see how long it akes her to come to you and ask you what is wrong. Take a picture of what she wrote and shove it in her face and tell her to figure it out on her own and leave you alone until she can be civil. I understand youre living in her house but that is going over board.
